Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy is about the Critter Sweep app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and about this website.
In short
- Critter Sweep has no account and no analytics. Your games, scores and settings are stored only on your device.
- Between games the app shows ads from Google AdMob. To show them, Google receives data from your device, such as its advertising ID and IP address.
- Ads are personalised only if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.
- We receive no personal data from the app ourselves. There is no Critter Sweep server.
- The app is meant for players aged 13 and up.
Who we are
Savage Software is the sole proprietorship of Sebastiano Bellinzis, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 87535718. Savage Software makes the app and is the controller for it. You can reach us at [email protected].
What stays on your device
The app keeps the game you are playing, your best scores, which puzzles you solved, whether the sound is on and which help screens you have seen. They are stored only on your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your device’s own backup may also carry this data, so that a new phone gets your progress back. That is done by your device, with your Apple or Google account, under their terms.
The internet
The games play offline. The app uses the internet only for ads. A link in the app, to a store page, our website or our email address, opens in your browser, store app or mail app; from there, their own privacy policies apply.
Ads from Google AdMob
Between games the app sometimes shows a full-screen ad. These ads come from Google AdMob, the ad network of Google (Google Ireland Limited in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere). To choose and show an ad, the AdMob software in the app sends Google:
- your device’s advertising ID;
- your IP address, from which Google works out an approximate location, such as your country or city;
- information about your device and the app, such as the model, the operating system, the language and the app version;
- how you interact with the ads, such as which ads you saw and tapped.
Google uses this to show ads, to measure them, to limit how often you see the same one and to prevent fraud and abuse. Only if you agree does it also use it to show ads based on your interests. Google decides how it uses this data, under its own policy: see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy, which also says how long Google keeps it. Google may process the data outside the European Union, including in the United States, with the safeguards described there.
We do not see this data. From Google we get only totals, such as how many ads were shown and what they earned.
When Google has no ad, or you are offline, the app shows its own ad for Yo Bro, another app of ours. That one is part of the app itself: nothing is loaded from the internet, and nothing about you is recorded or used to choose it.
Your choices about ads
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google’s consent form before the first ad. Ads are personalised only if you agree. If you don’t, Google shows ads that are not based on your interests but, for example, on the app and your approximate location; it may still use data to count ads, limit repeats and fight fraud. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings on the home screen. We rely on your consent for personalised ads and for storing and reading information on your device where the law requires it, and on our legitimate interest in paying for the app with ads for the other ads.
On iPhone and iPad, the app asks whether it may track you, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency. If you say no, Google does not get your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change this later in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
On Android, the app uses your device’s advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device’s settings, under Privacy, Ads or Google, Ads. Once it is deleted, apps can no longer use it for ads.
At My Ad Center you can see and change how Google personalises ads for you.
Children
Critter Sweep is meant for players aged 13 and up, and is not aimed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, write to us at [email protected] and we will help. We hold no data about the child ourselves, but we can help you turn off personalised ads and ask Google to delete what it received.
This website
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or trackers. It loads nothing from other websites.
Your rights
You have the right to see, correct and delete your personal data, to object to its use and to withdraw your consent. We hold no personal data about you ourselves, so there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. You withdraw your consent for personalised ads with Privacy settings in the app. For the data Google receives through the ads, you can use your rights with Google, as its privacy policy describes. For data that Apple or Google process for their stores, their own policies apply: the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
Questions about privacy? Write to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date. If the app starts to collect other data or to use it for something else, the app asks for your consent again where that is needed.
